The IMPAX Client software is used to view, interpret, and distribute medical reports and images. The IMPAX Client installation program installs the full Client, excluding any integrated applications (such as TalkStation, Voxar, or the Orthopaedic application). To install it, you do not have to be logged in as a Windows administrator.

Instructions
To install IMPAX Client
- Click this link: Install IMPAX Client.
- In the File Download dialog, click Open or Run.
- If a prompt appears about downloading and installing missing components,
click OK. Follow the prompts to download
and install Microsoft .NET Framework and MDAC 2.8. Restart the computer if
needed, then restart the IMPAX Client install program.
Note: If you do not have a live Internet connection, the downloading will not work. In that case, click Install .NET Framework 1.1 to download and install that component and Install .NET Framework 1.1 SP1 to install Service Pack 1. Then click Install MDAC 2.8 to download and install MDAC.
- On the Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for IMPAX Client screen, click Next.
- On the License Agreement screen, read the license agreement. If you agree,
select I accept the terms in the license agreement.
Click Next.
Or, if you do not agree to the license agreement, click Cancel. The software will not be installed.
- On the Customer Information screen, do one of the following:
- If this copy of IMPAX Client is to be used by only one account on this computer, type that user’s Windows User Name. Type the Organization name. Select Only for me. Click Next.
- If this copy of IMPAX Client is to be used by anyone who has a valid IMPAX user ID and password, in the User Name and Organization fields, type appropriate values. Ensure that Anyone who uses this computer is selected. Click Next.
- To install the application into C:\Program Files\Agfa\IMPAX Client, on the
Destination Folder screen, click Next.
Or, to install the application to another location, click Change. In the Change Current Destination Folder dialog, browse for the directory location to install into and click OK. On the Destination Folder screen, click Next.
- On the Application Server screen, in the Get
or confirm application server field, type the fully qualified domain
name of the Application Server to use. Click Next.
A fully qualified domain name is the full name of a system, including its local hostname and complete domain name. For example, if the Application Server is called radserver, it is on the network domain called radnet, and radnet is within the healthorg.com domain, the name to type would be radserver.radnet.healthorg.com.
- Select the IMPAX Login Type.
- To log into the IMPAX Client automatically after logging into Windows, select Windows Authentication.
- To log into the IMPAX Client separately from Windows, leave the IMPAX Authentication option selected. If you are unsure of your authentication method, select this option.
- To log into the IMPAX Client with a smart card, select Smart Card Authentication.
- Click Next.
- On the Ready to Install the Program screen, click Install.
- On the InstallShield Wizard Completed screen, click Finish.
The Installing IMPAX Client screen appears as the program is installed.
